This is why NASKA is custom-made

The reason why NASKA is custom-made is simple: once worn, it needs to adhere to your nose but without exerting any pressure on your nostrils.

It should not press on your nostrils because otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to exhale.
But it needs to be tight enough not to leave too much space for pool water to get in.

When you dive into the pool and start swimming, it’s inevitable that a little bit of water will get in, but it will be very little because the space left inside the mask is extremely limited, as it is custom-made for you.
With normal exhalation, the water that does get in is expelled through the valve.

The purpose of NASKA is not to seal your nose (this isn’t technically feasible) but to minimize contact with the water and pool air.
